I am a Mechanical Engineer holding and an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. degree in the field of environment. My research since 2006 is on Waste Management. I have been a member of the Solid Waste Management research team at the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineers at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2006 to 2020. For three years (2011-2014) I was a member of the permanent Committee on Environment of the Technical Chamber of Greece (Central Macedonia Department). Since 2015, i am a collaborating professor at Hellenic Open University, teaching "Solid Waste Management" course in the MSc course titled "Waste Management". I am the author and co-author of several scientific publications in scientific journals and books as well as national and international conferences. I have developed and implemented several funded projects and my experience falls into the following fields: (a) Environmental Design, (b) Solid Waste Management, (c) Hazardous Waste Management, (d) Organic waste management, (e) Developing Countries environmental aspects, (f) Climate Change (g) Circular Economy, (h) secondary raw material loops, etc.
